This Privacy Policy explains how Montage (a company in the process of incorporation in Brazil) (“Montage”, “we”) collects, uses, shares and protects the personal data of those who use the Montage app, the Montage Pro app and the website montageapp.com.br (together, the “Platform”), in accordance with the Brazilian General Data Protection Law (Law No. 13,709/2018 – LGPD).
Montage is a technology platform that connects travelers with licensed tour guides in the city of Rio de Janeiro. For the purposes of the LGPD, Montage is the controller of the personal data processed on the Platform. Our data protection officer can be contacted at contato@montageapp.com.br.
We collect the following personal data: (a) account data: name, e-mail address and phone number; for guides, also the CPF (Brazilian taxpayer number) and Cadastur registration number, which are required to verify their professional license; (b) the address provided as the meeting point for a booking; (c) booking data (experience, date, time, duration and price) and communications carried out through the Platform between travelers, guides and the Montage team, including reviews; (d) payment data, which is processed by our payment partner — Montage does not store full card numbers; (e) browsing data and cookies, such as IP address, device type, language, pages visited and device identifiers.
We process personal data under Article 7 of the LGPD for the following purposes: (a) performance of the contract — creating and managing accounts, verifying guides’ registration, intermediating bookings, processing payments and refunds, enabling communication between traveler and guide and providing support; (b) compliance with legal or regulatory obligations — keeping tax and accounting records and responding to requests from authorities; (c) legitimate interest — preventing fraud and abuse, ensuring the security of the Platform, improving our services and producing usage statistics, always respecting your rights and expectations; (d) consent — sending marketing communications and news, which you may withdraw at any time without affecting your use of the Platform.
We share personal data only when necessary: (a) between traveler and guide, to the extent needed to carry out the booked experience — for example, name, contact phone number and meeting point; (b) with our payment processing partner, to carry out charges and refunds; (c) with service providers that support us (hosting, e-mail and notification delivery, usage analytics), who process data according to our instructions; (d) with public authorities, when required by law, court order or to protect the rights of Montage and its users. We do not sell personal data.
Some of our providers (such as cloud hosting, notification and analytics services) may store or process data outside Brazil. In such cases, we adopt the safeguards provided for in the LGPD, such as appropriate contractual clauses and the selection of providers that ensure a level of protection compatible with Brazilian law.
Under Article 18 of the LGPD, you may request at any time: confirmation that your data is being processed; access to your data; correction of incomplete, inaccurate or outdated data; anonymization, blocking or deletion of unnecessary or excessive data; data portability; information about data sharing; information about the possibility of not providing consent and the consequences of refusal; withdrawal of consent; and deletion of data processed on the basis of consent. We keep personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in this Policy, to comply with legal, tax and regulatory obligations and to allow the regular exercise of rights. Booking and payment data is kept for the applicable statutory periods; after those periods, the data is deleted or anonymized. We adopt appropriate technical and administrative measures to protect data against unauthorized access, loss, alteration or improper disclosure, such as encryption in transit, access control and monitoring. No system is completely secure; in the event of a security incident that may cause relevant risk or harm, we will notify the data subjects and the Brazilian National Data Protection Authority (ANPD) as required by law.
The website uses cookies and similar technologies to: (a) ensure the website works properly and securely; (b) remember the language you have chosen; (c) produce usage statistics that help us improve the Platform. You can manage or disable cookies in your browser settings; disabling essential cookies may affect some features.
We may update this Policy at any time to reflect changes in legislation or in our services. Relevant changes will be communicated through the Platform or by e-mail, and the updated version will indicate its effective date. We recommend that you review this page periodically.
