Montage is an app that connects travelers with licensed tour guides in the city of Rio de Janeiro. You choose the guide, book by the hour and agree on the itinerary directly with them. Montage takes care of the booking and the payment; the tour is led by the guide, an independent professional with an active Cadastur registration.<\/p>\n

Montage currently operates in the city of Rio de Janeiro. The meeting point with your guide must be within the municipality of Rio \u2014 it can be your hotel, your accommodation or any other address in the city. From there, the itinerary of the tour is defined by you and your guide.<\/p>\n

Yes. Only tour guides with an active registration in Cadastur, the official registry of the Brazilian Ministry of Tourism, can offer experiences on Montage. We verify the registration when the guide signs up and may check it at any time. Each guide also has a profile with languages, specialties and reviews from other travelers.<\/p>\n

No. Montage is a technology platform that intermediates between travelers and self-employed tour guides. The tourism service is contracted directly between you and the guide; Montage handles the connection, the booking and the payment processing, as described in our Terms of Use.<\/p>\n

Create your account in the Montage app, choose the experience and the guide, enter the date, time, duration (in hours) and meeting point, and pay within the app. The booking is confirmed once the payment is approved and the guide accepts it \u2014 you receive the confirmation in the app. Each guide\u2019s profile shows the languages they work in.<\/p>\n

No. The address you enter in the booking is simply the place where you meet your guide, and it can be your hotel, your accommodation or another point within the city of Rio de Janeiro. The guide comes to you. The itinerary of the tour is agreed between the two of you, and any delays or changes should be communicated through the app.<\/p>\n

Each guide sets their own hourly rate, shown before you book; the total is the hourly rate multiplied by the duration you choose. Today Montage does not charge travelers a service fee. Tour expenses \u2014 such as tickets, transportation and food \u2014 are not included and are settled directly with the guide.<\/p>\n

You choose Pix or card when you place your request. With a card, the amount is only reserved and is charged only when the guide accepts. With Pix, you pay at the time of the request \u2014 and if the guide does not accept, the amount is returned to you automatically and immediately via a Pix refund.<\/p>\n

You lose nothing. With a card, the charge never even happens; with Pix, the refund is automatic and immediate. Requests that receive no response expire within 24 hours.<\/p>\n

Yes. Under the current policy, cancellations made up to 24 hours before the start time are fully refunded; after that, the booking is non-refundable. If the guide cancels or does not show up, the refund is always in full. The policy in force is displayed at the time of booking, in the app.<\/p>\n

Tour guides with an active Cadastur registration (Brazilian Ministry of Tourism) who work in the city of Rio de Janeiro. When you sign up through the Montage Pro app, you provide your details, CPF and Cadastur number; after verification, your profile becomes available to travelers. Keep your details, languages, specialties and availability up to date.<\/p>\n

You set your hourly rate, the languages you work in, your specialties and your available times directly in Montage Pro, and you can change them whenever you like. Booking requests arrive through the app and you decide whether to accept each one.<\/p>\n

The amount is allocated to the guide the moment they accept the booking. Withdrawal to a bank account follows the time frames of the payment method used.<\/p>\n

The tourism service is contracted directly between you and the traveler, so the tax obligations related to the tour \u2014 including issuing the Brazilian tax invoice (nota fiscal) when required \u2014 are the guide\u2019s responsibility, according to your tax status (for example, MEI or self-employed professional). Montage does not issue invoices on behalf of guides. If in doubt, we recommend consulting an accountant.<\/p>\n
